New Year's resolutions.

I never really make them.

Is it not true that they're destined to fail?

So why am I making one this year?

Why am I saying that I'll quit over thinking?

It's obviously too difficult to do.

Oh now I remember.

It's quite simple.

Overthinking is something I hate to do.

So after I wrote my little poetry announcement, I realized I should probably start going off about some other news of my life:

1. NaNoWriMo
-It failed. I just could not stand to have Sparks incompleted, so Sparks is currently my main focus. The Best Friend Project will be written at a later date.

2. 30 Days of Blogging
-I did not even think about this blog. I've abandoned it. DX I'm back now! :D

3. Free Falling
-That sequel to AIJAN I hate? Well, yeah, I'm rewriting it, so to speak. It's a completly new plotline. Katia is 22, Matt is 32, they're living on their own and such. I'll give you more details when I start writing it. :)

4. 365 Poems
-You'll get your first post when I get to the special notebook for it. Handwriting for the win!

5. My New Year's Resolution
-Will be learned soon enough.

365 Poems

So this year I am going to write a poem for every day of the year. That's 365 poems. I was trying to decide where to post them since I'm in a group with my Inkies for this, so I need a place on the Internet to post them. At first I thought maybe I should try Wattpad, then I realized: Why not my blog? It'll make me more active and it's a guarentee that I'll actually blog.

So be prepared, for I have no idea what this year holds and I'm kind of nervous to find out.

Nanowrimo is in the Air!

Nanowrimo is in the air! I can smell it and hear the pens just begging to be written with. For me, I'm trying to figure out 30 days worth of blog posts. XD Yeah, that should be fun.

In other news, I have my writing proficiency soon! As in Wednesday! Meaning I actually have to wake up at a decent hour instead of enjoying the late start. :( It's quite sad, really. Well, that's it! Au revoir! :D

My favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate. I am a chocoholic. It's bad.

 

2. What has blogging done for you?

It's given me a place to organize my thoughts and start telling people about my writing. Granted I have one follower, but we're ignoring that little detail. XD

 

3. What is your favorite quote that you have written/read?

Well, I could just post my favorite quote, but I'll be nice and take the time to look it up in one of my novels.

4. What book ending has surprised you the most?

Hm...that one's difficult. I guess I'd have to say the end of Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick. I though Patch and Nora would finally have a moment of peace, but no, freaking Nephilim attack them. >:(

 

5. What book has changed you the most?

I feel as if I should post some story about how I've had some life-changing feeling to live a better life after reading a book, but I haven't. No book has made me want to improve my life. I feel like I'm missing out on something. XD

30 Days of Blogging!

Nanowrimo is in a few days, so I've come to the conclusion that I should blog this experience, this being my first year doing actually Nano. So, every day, I will have a new blog post describing my experience. They may be short, they may be long, it depends how close to my goal I am. I'll be going for 1,667 words a day! Wish me luck. ^_^

When it's done, I'll post it on Wattpad.

Nano and Other News

So, it's a lovely day in October, nice and warm, but soon it shall be cold, and soon I shall attempt Nanowrimo, or National Novel Writing Month.

Yes, I know, it seems so strange since I completely failed at Camp Nano and that was during the summer, back when I had time. Why should I attempt to do something like that during the school year when I have absolutely no time thanks to activities. Academic Team's starting up soon as well and I'm not the loner who writes all the time anymore.

That's another issue: Changes. Now I socialize and I'm not shy, nor am I not as introverted as before. Suddenly it feels strange to spend my mornings writing in the library. I feel as if I should be talking to my friends. School's coming down on me with an iron fist and I'm struggling to survive it. By the time I'm alone and can write, I feel to tired to. I don't like that. I want to write all the time again. I've been writing Sparks, but it's going painfully slow. I'm half convinced I should give it up, but, I need it and I refuse to go back to old habits.

I guess that's why I'm doing Nano, so I can get back into writing again. Because I do love it, I really do, but, it's just like, I never feel like doing it and when I do, I ignore it. I don't like that. I want to write more. All the time instead of getting a page every few days. I can't even remember the last time I wrote.

I hate this, so I've come to the conclusion that whenever I have free time, I shall fill it with writing. Whenever I'm not socializing or doing school-related things, I shall write. It may be difficult at first, but it'll be wonderful to actually be a writer again.
