Nanowrimo is in the air! I can smell it and hear the pens just begging to be written with. For me, I'm trying to figure out 30 days worth of blog posts. XD Yeah, that should be fun.
In other news, I have my writing proficiency soon! As in Wednesday! Meaning I actually have to wake up at a decent hour instead of enjoying the late start. :( It's quite sad, really. Well, that's it! Au revoir! :D

Thank you Jessie Kelley for nominating me. And Jessica as well. http://chilledink.blogspot.com/
My lovely answers:
1. If you like ice cream, what is your favorite flavor?
My favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate. I am a chocoholic. It's bad.
2. What has blogging done for you?
It's given me a place to organize my thoughts and start telling people about my writing. Granted I have one follower, but we're ignoring that little detail. XD
3. What is your favorite quote that you have written/read?
Well, I could just post my favorite quote, but I'll be nice and take the time to look it up in one of my novels.
" 'Matt, we'll go over how we messed up tomorrow. Right now, let's just think about us.' He agreed and we kissed and hugged and laughed in the San Francisco moonlight."-Katia, Age is Just a Number. I have other favorite quotes, but writing this just made my heart melt.
4. What book ending has surprised you the most?
Hm...that one's difficult. I guess I'd have to say the end of Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick. I though Patch and Nora would finally have a moment of peace, but no, freaking Nephilim attack them. >:(
5. What book has changed you the most?
I feel as if I should post some story about how I've had some life-changing feeling to live a better life after reading a book, but I haven't. No book has made me want to improve my life. I feel like I'm missing out on something. XD
Questions:
1. What's your plan for life?
2. You're in Vegas and can either get married by Elvis or a guy dressed as an elf. Which do you pick and why?
3. What's your favorite color and why?
4. Would you ever join a circus?
5. Name a paranormal/fantasy creature you would like to be and explain why.

30 Days of Blogging!
Nanowrimo is in a few days, so I've come to the conclusion that I should blog this experience, this being my first year doing actually Nano. So, every day, I will have a new blog post describing my experience. They may be short, they may be long, it depends how close to my goal I am. I'll be going for 1,667 words a day! Wish me luck. ^_^
When it's done, I'll post it on Wattpad.
When it's done, I'll post it on Wattpad.

Nano and Other News
So, it's a lovely day in October, nice and warm, but soon it shall be cold, and soon I shall attempt Nanowrimo, or National Novel Writing Month.
Yes, I know, it seems so strange since I completely failed at Camp Nano and that was during the summer, back when I had time. Why should I attempt to do something like that during the school year when I have absolutely no time thanks to activities. Academic Team's starting up soon as well and I'm not the loner who writes all the time anymore.
That's another issue: Changes. Now I socialize and I'm not shy, nor am I not as introverted as before. Suddenly it feels strange to spend my mornings writing in the library. I feel as if I should be talking to my friends. School's coming down on me with an iron fist and I'm struggling to survive it. By the time I'm alone and can write, I feel to tired to. I don't like that. I want to write all the time again. I've been writing Sparks, but it's going painfully slow. I'm half convinced I should give it up, but, I need it and I refuse to go back to old habits.
I guess that's why I'm doing Nano, so I can get back into writing again. Because I do love it, I really do, but, it's just like, I never feel like doing it and when I do, I ignore it. I don't like that. I want to write more. All the time instead of getting a page every few days. I can't even remember the last time I wrote.
I hate this, so I've come to the conclusion that whenever I have free time, I shall fill it with writing. Whenever I'm not socializing or doing school-related things, I shall write. It may be difficult at first, but it'll be wonderful to actually be a writer again.

No More Figment and Other Interesting News
So, I deleted my Figment account. Why? Because I don't use it. For any of you interesting people who might read this blog and want to read my stories, go to my Wattpad! :D The address is as follows:
Wattpad Account!
So, click that. :)
Next on the agenda: School has begun. -_- It's a horrible thing, but a necessary thing and I am currently in it. That means that I have to get into a mindset where I can write and do schoolwork and socialize. The first week was bad and I got maybe a sentence written, which made me sad. Now? I've found a decent balance and am now writing Sparks. :) After Sparks, I might rewrite AIJAN, just need to have a certain person send me a critique on it. Preferatbly before I finish Sparks. I love you, Person!
That is all for tonight, folks! See you again real soon!

Tumblr and Plot Bunnies
Two posts in one day? I know, shocking, isn't it? XD Well, I feel the sudden urge to blog about things that I feel "meh" about. You know, that I don't really care for, but can still be annoying.
First is tumblr. I just got one today and I'll provide the link momentarily. Don't worry, it won't replace Blogspot. I'm too connected to this place. I love it, but I was bored, so I made one. It'll probably contain pictures, YouTube videos, and quotes. Of course, who knows? Maybe I'll start using it for other things. Maybe I'll start copying stuff from here and pasting it onto there, so people on tumblr to see what I'm up to. Or I won't. It all depends, honestly. I just kind of have to get a feel for it.
Next is plot bunnies. For anyone who's currently asking, "Now what the hell is she blabbering on about now?" have no fear! I shall explain. A plot bunny is some sort of book idea that one gets. It could be a character, a cover, anything really. I start classifying them as plot bunnies when they start developing synopsises and plots. They are quite annoying, but I just put it on a list to be written later and go back to the book I'm writing. It's quite useful and makes my life easier. So much easier. If they start really bugging me, well, then, I start making banners and developing character ideas.
That's all! Until next post, au revoir!
P.S. here's the link to my tumblr: http://staringintothevanillatwilight.tumblr.com/

A New Look And My Dream Cast Part 2
So, as you can clearly see, my blog has a new look! :D Yup, it took some time, but now it has a fancy-smancy new look courtesy of my friend Sam. I love it.
Now, I must show to you all my dream cast part 2 for Sparks. You've seen the images, but here's how I would love Hailey and Ashton to be played by if this was ever made into a movie.
I would like Hailey to be played by Jennifer Lawrence:

Then I'd like Ashton to be played by Taylor Lautner:
No, I do not have a crush on Taylor Lautner. He just appears to go with the friendly-happy personality that I envision Ashton having.

This is what I imagine Hailey and Ashton look like:
These photos are not mine, they belong to their origional owners. The only thing I did was add font and on Ashton, I added an effect.

My Dream Cast: Rosalia and Brett
So, as I'm sure any author's done, I've been thinking about who I'd like my characters to be played by. At the moment, I have perfect characters appearance-wise for Rosalia and Brett. Here you go!
Once again, I hold no ownership for these photos. They belong to their proper owners. The only thing I did was take them off the Internet and add text. XD

Drive Away
Ah, today I get to drive for an hour and twenty minutes just to go to a picnic! Hooray! It makes me very excited and nervous and annoyed. I don't like the idea of driving to the place we're driving to because it's a boring path, but, other than that, I think I'll survive. Plus, I need that good ol' driving time! Woo! I'll write more later! Gotta get a move on!

Finished!
So, for all who are wondering, I finished writing Free Falling! Yup the book has been done as of July 17, 2012 and it shall be typed soon. Right now, I just need a chance to write Sparks, which I shall some links for below. I feel Sparks should be easier because I'm typing it as I'm writing it, so you're more likely to actually see it sooner. Free Falling will eventually be on Wattpad and Figment, but I just need a break before I type it.
Here's some links to the two places you can read Sparks:
Sparks on Wattpad
Sparks on Figment
And for people who want to know what it's about, here's the summary-thingy:
"A hidden connection is stronger then an obvious one."-Unknown. Rosalia Rossi wrote a list the summer before her freshman year of high school. It contained all the things she would never do. Now four years have passed and she's ready to enjoy her last summer before college. The problem? Brett Richards. He's twenty-one and has known and tormented her since she was three and he was six. Now he's discovered her list and, with a secret she doesn't want told, he's making her complete everything on the list-before summer's end.
Au revoir!

My Writing
Ah, Free Falling is almost done, almost to completion. Granted, I'll have to type it, but soon, I shall have another completed novel in my notebook. Then what shall I write? Well, I think I'll be writing Sparks, a lovely tale about a girl who finds love the most unlikely of places. Probably not helpful, huh? Well, I'll add in more information once I officially begin writing it, which should be soon. :) Here's a me-made cover, though:
This is the cover on Wattpad. As usual, I do not own the pictures. I only made them into this format and added a cool effect. The pictures belong to their respective owners. I'll give out links and what the cover will be once I post it on Figment as well. Au revoir!

It's Done!
After seven months, I have finished typing Age is Just a Number. Yup, it's now in computerized form, not just hidden in my notebook. It makes me so excited and now my sole focus shall be on Free Falling, its sequel. In a few months, I'll come back and go through a second round of editing. Gotta give it time to settle, you know? Well, that's it. If any of you are interested in reading AIJAN, just go to July 1, 2012's blog post. The link is below!

I Quit
Camp NaNoWriMo that is, but not because I don't want to write a book. You see, Free Falling, the novel I've been writing before June, has been calling me. The reason I was willing to try Camp NaNoWriMo was because I was starting to lose ideas in for Free Falling, but, ironically, I got ideas when I started writing Sparks. My decision? I shall finish Free Falling, then go straight to Sparks afterwards. It all works out in the end. See? Perfect.
Lovely, huh? (Picture is not mine. It is from an unknown source. I only edited it and added the font. All rights go to rightful owners.)

Writing Advice that May or May Not Be Useful
So, for all you writers out there, I feel like giving advice. No particular reason, really. Just a sudden urge to give advice. Wanna know what it is?
Well, it's this: Don't worry about what other people think. Don't worry about if your writing is too cliche or that people won't like it. You really want to write about something but feel it's overdone? Don't not write it. If you want to write something, write it. That's kind of the whole point.
Nobody can think up this whole new, crazy thing. Vampires, for example. That paranormal creature has been twisted and turned so many ways that is could be considered unrecognizable. Now let's say you want to write a vampire love story. Well, then write it. You can give it new life. Create a story that you like and characters that are different. People won't like it. I don't usually read a whole ton of vampire books except Richelle Mead, Bram Stoker, and Anne Rice, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't write about vampires.
The point I'm trying to make here is that you're the writer. You can write about whatever you want, even if people say it's the worst cliche ever and writing it makes you a failure as a writer and a person. It doesn't matter. You want to write it, so write it. This may be the worst advice I give you or the best. To tell the truth, I am not the writing guru. I just feel like saying this. Remember: You are the writer, nobody else is. You have the right to write about whatever you want.
And those cliches? They became cliche for a reason. ;)

It Has Begun
Camp NaNoWriMo has began! So far, I'm not exactly where I'd like to be, but I'm getting there. I can't stay on too long, since I have to write. To amuse you people, though, here's a lovely video from YouTube:
Enjoy!

Two More Weeks!
Yup, two more weeks! Then I'll be a junior, out for summer, and have time! Well, I'll also have a job (hopefully) too. No one has called offering me on and I put in applications, so, yeah, now I'm playing the waiting game. I hope to have a job this summer. For you see, I want to do stuff, and, as it turns out, stuff costs money! Amazing discovery, huh? Well, time to enjoy the last two weeks of my life as a sophomore. Ugh, finals are next week...

Countdown to Camp NaNoWriMo
Yup, I've decided to do Camp NaNoWriMo this coming June. The book? It's called Sparks and it's about a girl named Rosalia. She's eighteen, just graduated high school, and is just ready to get the summer out of the way before she can leave Berkeley and go to the Universtiy of the Pacific. Of course, at her graduation party, her next door neighbor, Brett shows up. He's annoying and she hates him, but he's known her since she was three and he was six. At this party, he finds a list. It's a list of everything Rosalia swore to never do (that isn't already obvious like murder or rape or something). With a little bit of blackmail, Rosalia now has to do everything on that list-before summer's end.
What do you think? I think it's a pretty good idea and I can't wait to write it. Until then, I must complete my mission to finish writing Free Falling. Oh, how busy I'll be. At least it's writing, which I love. :D

Oh, The Days of Old
Do you know what I would like to write with? A quill. Yes, a quill, a feather and an actual inkwell. I mean, I love my Sharpie pens as much as any writer, but sometimes, I just wonder what it would be like to write with a beautiful quill once in a while. Have some parchment, write a tale on that. Oh, the wonders.
Oh, and I've decided I should probably talk about some writing, too. I'm currently writing a sequel to another book I wrote called Age is Just a Number. The sequel is called Free Falling. Are they published? Ha, no. Do I want them to be? Yes, but I'm still young. Right now, I should just enjoy writing. Save all the stress over being published for college.

Won't You Save Me San Francisco?
Ah, how I love San Francisco! For Spring Break, I get to enjoy a lovely vacation to the City by the Bay. I love it. From the hilly streets to the endless expanse of ocean called the Bay, I love it all. The buildings are amazing and everything's just plain beautiful. I do want to live here. Just need money. Lots of money.

People Watching
Have you ever people watched? I suggest it, it's actually quite interesting. You can make up a story about their life or just entertain yourself if they're funny. I tend to people watch a lot. It's especially interesting in my lovely home. :) Well, I think that's it for now. I really have nothing more to say.

Partyn', Partyn', Yeah
I love sixteen! My birthday is actually pretty amazing! Even with my crazy, complaining friends. XD If they read this, they'll hate me, but I don't care. They love me. :) I know this is short, but I must go! Ta-ta!

I Dream of Paris
Wanna know where I'd like to visit? Paris, France. I would love to check out street markets and see stores devoted entirely for cheese. It would be wonderful. See the top of the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre. Arc de Triomphe, bookstores, eat at a cafe. I want to go to Paris. It would be my dream. Soon enough it'll happen. I will become a Paris girl. Just give it time, give it time.

Procrastination and Making Any Improvement in Acutally Having a Typed Book
I love writing with the classic pen and notebook. The problem? When you have to type it to e-mail it to your friends and post it on Inkpop. (For any non-inkies, that's a website to post writing. The people there are awesome.) I love the story, it's just I'm also writing the sequel, Don't Tell Me That It's Over. Most likely? I'll have a significant amount typed by 3 'o clock in the morning. Not done, but some typed.
Now, a funny video to occupy your time that someone posted on Facebook:
It's so true for me. Especially when I write. Don't you EVER interrupt me when I'm writing a book. Something bad will occur. Now back to Ink-er, typing!

Summertime
It seems like forever since I've updated this thing. :) Well, today's topic would be the book I am currently reading: Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. It's pretty much a description of the events in the summer of 1926. I'm obsessed. Ray Bradbury's description are just beautiful and I feel in love with the story and the memories it brings back of my own summers back when I was a little kid.
For example, we used to have this grape vine. It was so wonderful and beautiful to 8-year-old me that I would pick grapes and squeeze the juice into the glass, add sugar, and attempt to make grape-ade. Naturally it failed. Ah, life as a young one.
Really, summer is a beautiful season. I love the warmth and just the overwhelming sense of freedom. The green in the trees, the fireworks on Fourth of July, everything. Anything could happen. The sunshine lets you have fun with friends, family, etc. Winter just seems so blah after Christmas. Only a few more months!

Everything Has a Bright Side
This week has been busy and extremely stressful. Why, one may ask. Well, I've had finals. Of course, like everything on this great planet, there is a bright side! Yay! What is this bright side? Well, it's the fact I've gotten much more writing done for the book I've been working on: High On Life. I love the extra time once I finish a final. Again; Everything has a bright side. You just have to look for it. Sometimes it's hard to find, but it's there.

Why Must I Be So Tired?
That is the question I am asking myself today. I've gotten a perfectly good night's sleep, yet here I am, exhausted. I'm to the point where I can't even concentrate on writing. (Gasp!) To tell the truth, sometimes I wonder what would life be like if sleep was optional. If we could decide whether we wanted to sleep or not. In this case, we would be able to run perfectly normal without sleep. It would be a luxury, like TV or the computer. That would be amazing because then I wouldn't be so exhausted right now. That is all for today, folks. :)

I'm Such a Nerd
I was just thinking of all the lame chemistry jokes I laugh at. Yeah, definitely a nerd at heart. XD For example, everytime I hear a chemistry joke, I laugh like it's the funniest thing in the world. Same with English jokes.
So silver and copper walk into a bar and see gold. What do they yell? Au! Get it? I thought this was the funniest joke in the world when I heard it. See? Nerd?

I'm new at this...
So, this post may not be interesting. To introduce myself, I'm Laura and a writer. It's my passion. The whole purpose behind this thing is to just to comment on life and my lovely obsession with writing and books. It's a healthy obsession, though. :) Good Bye!
